Anucam Educational Books Plc:

A Legacy of Educational Excellence

Founded by the visionary Mr. Martin Nguasong, Anucam Educational Books Plc officially came into existence in 2007. However, the story of Anucam’s remarkable journey began long before its formal incorporation. Mr. Nguasong’s deep-rooted dedication to the publishing industry traces back to the late 1980s, a period during which he operated under the banners of the Anucam Centre for Research and Development (ANUCRED) and Anucam Publishers Enterprise.

During these early years, Mr. Nguasong’s unwavering commitment to producing high-quality educational materials laid the cornerstone for what would eventually evolve into Anucam Educational Books Plc. His enduring vision and passion for advancing education have been the driving forces behind the company’s growth and success over the decades.

Today, Anucam Educational Books Plc stands as a testament to Mr. Nguasong’s legacy of excellence. The company continues to deliver a wide range of educational resources, meticulously designed to meet the diverse needs of both students and educators. Anucam’s unwavering dedication to quality education remains at the heart of its mission, ensuring that it continues to make a meaningful impact on the academic landscape for generations to come.

Expansion and Growth

Given her immense experience in bilingual education (Cameroon being a French/English speaking country), the Company was strategically positioned to enter the growing market of French/English language learning manuals in her neighbouring countries.  Hence, in 2015, the Company expanded into the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where she is drawing from her immense experience to develop textbooks for learners of French in the Nigerian School system. She is engaged in this venture in association with a local firm in Nigeria known as Clear-Options Anucam Enterprises. This firm is based in Jos, Plateau State. Together, they have developed some titles for French language learners at the level of the secondary schools. The books are being promoted in other States in Nigeria.

Some of her English language  learning manuals are also  being tested in  neighbouring Francophone countries of the Central African Sub region that have approved English language as a course  in their educational systems.

Our Books

Our company is dedicated to meeting the needs of the educational system by publishing high-quality, comprehensive texts. We ensure that our books and didactic materials adhere to the following standards:

  • Syllabus-Centered and Content-Rich: Our books are regularly updated to align with the latest teaching and examination syllabi provided by the Ministries of Basic and Secondary Education. We ensure that our content not only supports the implementation of national policies but also empowers users with inspiring material that promotes personal and community growth.
  • Graded and Sequenced: Each book is carefully structured to match the schemes of work provided by National and Regional Pedagogic Offices. We incorporate the most current, state-of-the-art teaching and learning methodologies to support both educators and students.
  • User-Friendly for Teachers and Students: Our books are designed for easy navigation, allowing teachers to prepare lessons effortlessly. Many units are structured as ready-to-use lessons that can be implemented with minimal preparation. Warm-up exercises, engaging content, and end-of-lesson evaluations are tailored to capture the learner’s attention while promoting active learning through enjoyable and meaningful projects.
  • Learner-Centered: Our books are crafted with the learner’s experience in mind, using familiar, real-world examples to guide students from the known to the unknown. Assessments are designed to be friendly rather than punitive, incorporating practical, relatable scenarios from the school environment, community, and global context.
  • Highly Illustrated and Visually Engaging: We believe that images and actions can communicate more effectively than words alone. Our books are richly illustrated, colorful, and thoughtfully packaged to enhance both learning and handling. This approach makes complex ideas more accessible and engaging for students.
  • Durable and Affordable: Our books are designed to withstand frequent use while remaining affordable for parents, guardians, students, and schools. We are committed to offering the highest quality materials at the best value.
  • Examination-Focused: While our course books employ a variety of assessment methods, we place particular emphasis on familiarizing students with end-of-course testing formats such as multiple-choice questions (MCQs), essays, and context-based questions. This prepares students for the testing methods they will encounter in certificate examinations.

Our Market

Our initial focus was on serving schools and users in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon, specifically in Nursery, Primary, and Secondary education.

In recent years, we have expanded our reach to the French-speaking regions of the country, publishing books for Nursery and Primary Schools. We are also testing and targeting the broader CEMAC region, which includes French-speaking countries such as Gabon and Chad—many of which are increasingly embracing the English language.

Additionally, we have developed and are promoting books for the Nigerian market to tap into the country's gradual interest in the French language.

Because education is fundamental to human development, we are committed to offering the most competitive prices in the market. This ensures that our books remain affordable for all, fulfilling our mission to make quality education accessible to everyone.

Our diverse customer base includes Government Agencies, Schools, Bookshops, Libraries, Denominational Educational Agencies, Councils, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Students, Pupils, and the general public.
